Jens Krause (Jahrgang 1967) ist in der Nähe von Sangerhausen aufgewachsen. Nach der Polytechnischen Oberschule absolvierte er innerhalb eines Jahres ein Spezialabitur, um anschließend ein 5-jähriges Lehramtsstudium in den Fächern Mathematik und Physik mit einem Diplom im Fach Psychologie im Jahre 1989 abzuschließen. Sein Diplomthema lautete: Mensch - Computer - Interaktion.
Nach anderthalb Jahren im Schuldienst (Dom Gymnasium Merseburg), nutzte er die sich durch die sogenannte Wendezeit
