Jan Martel obtained a bachelor degree in biology in 2005 from the University of Sherbrooke in his hometown of Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada. He obtained a Ph.D. in 2011 during which he helped to determine the nature of nanobacteria observed in blood, seawater and meteorites as non-living biomimetic mineral-organic nanoparticles. Dr. Martel is currently Associate Researcher at the Center for Molecular and Clinical Immunology at Chang Gung University in Taiwan where he has published more than 60
