Dr. Fernando A.M. Herbella is an Affiliate Professor at the Department of Surgery, Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil, where he obtained his MD, residency training in general and GI surgery, MSc and Doctor Degrees. He is a fellow of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery and a Member of the International Society for Surgery and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary tract. Dr. Herbella’s primary research focus is on surgery and physiology of the esophagus. He has published more than 215 publications and 60 book chapters.
