Dr. Shaurya Prakash is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University, USA, where he leads the Microsystems and Nanosystems Laboratory. His research focuses on developing microscale and nanoscale technologies with applications in energy, water treatment, and healthcare, addressing critical societal needs.Prof. Junghoon Yeom is a Principal Research Scientist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2007 and 2003, respectively, and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Design and Production Engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea (2000).
Dr. Yeom's research focuses on developing advanced materials and manufacturing technologies for nano- and microelectromechanical systems (N/MEMS) and micro chemical systems. Current projects include metal and ceramic additive manufacturing for process intensification, volatile organic compound detection systems for environmental monitoring, and self-propelled micromotors for pollutant degradation and water decontamination.
