Dr. Pankaj Kalita is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Energy Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. He has completed his master’s and Ph.D. degrees from IIT Guwahati. He has more than 13 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience in the field of thermal engineering and renewable energy systems. He has published more than 100 research articles in various reputed journals and conferences, and has also edited several books. He has executed various research and consultancy projects in the areas of clean energy technologies. His current areas of research include solar thermal and PV systems, gasification and biochemical conversion, energy materials, energy management, energy storage, and integration of renewable energy for remote electrification.
Dr. Ajay Singh is an Assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, specializing in next-generation photovoltaic technologies and semiconductor device physics. His research focuses on numerical modeling, fabrication, and characterization of perovskite solar cells, with additional expertise in modeling device physics in LEDs, nanowires, transistors and quantum structures. Dr. Singh earned undergraduate and postgraduate degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and received his doctoral degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg, and as a visiting researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Before joining IIT Guwahati, Dr. Singh worked at AVANCIS GmbH, Germany, where his research focused on developing CIGS/Perovskite tandem photovoltaics.
Dr. Kuldeep Kumar is currently working as an Assistant professor with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. He received the B.Tech. degree in energy engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India, in 2012, and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. in energy systems from the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2014 and 2019, respectively. His research interests include renewable energy grid integration, model predictive control, reinforcement learning, hybrid energy storage, fuel cells systems, modeling and control of converters and inverters, and control and optimization of microgrid/smart grid.
