Mariam Akinlolu is a Lecturer and the Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange at the School of Built Environment at London Metropolitan University, UK. She holds a PhD in Construction Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Mariam publishes in the areas of sustainable built environment education, EDI issues in construction, and construction health and safety.

She is a former Senior Lecturer at the Nelson Mandela University Medical School, South Africa. She has also worked as a Lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, School of Education, South Africa.
